Fix Missing Folder Options in Windows XP
If you found out that your folder options in windows explorer is missing, this is due to the effect of virus which is most probably a Ravmon virus which spreads through USB removeable drives.
There are two ways to fix this problem, either by doing it manually or by using a tool.
Fix Missing Folder Options using a tool
Simply download this tool called Ravmon Removal Tool.
Open the program, click on the “Restore Default Windows Settings” button. Checks every option boxes and click Apply.
Fix Missing Folder Options manually
- Click Start - > Run
- Type in gpedit.msc and click OK
- On the left panel, navigate to : User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components –> Windows Explorer
- Disable the “Removes Folder Options menu from Tools menu”
